I feel bad for chasing this little guy away (after taking a pic of him through the balcony window), he was only looking for food before the big storm, picking up the dog's breakfast crumbs from the snow... sigh. Now I feel like a big meanie - where do all the birds and wildlife hide in such a savage blizzard as this? How hungry and cold must they be?

I love birds. They are so cute. I love watching them hop and peck. They are so single minded. But ever vigilant.
They are amazing survivors, considering what we've done to their habitat :-o
