Photobucket

Since I'm nowhere near any beaches or the sea for some time still (sigh), this week I have a special treat for you: an Australian guest photographer (my ex, actually!), who has graciously accepted to "lend" me a few photos for the snapshots blog.

These were taken on the Sunshine Coast so kick back and enjoy. In the meantime keep visiting for some more stunning visuals! Back to the normal program by the weekend, if I can get my camera excited about something, anything, again...

Location: Sunshine Beach, Australia

I figured would be A. That's stunning. I'm going to cry. Ok, maybe not right now. Been dying to ask you where you get all your filters?

Deutlich, Lola: hang on, he sent me more :-)

Smiler, don't cry... just go back. You know how happy you were there, yes? For my photos, I play with them in Corel Paint Shop Pro - you can download a free 30-day trial on their site, that's what I did before I bought it. looove it!

Salut Smiler,

Actually the photo was a cheat of sorts. I took multiple exposure (low to high) and combined them. That explains the hyper realistic look.

You can find out about it more here:

and here:

Still, it takes nothing away from the setting. It really is a glorious part of the world.

Hi A: Thanks for the links - I've bookmarked them and have a look eventually. It's a great tool to master as really has impressive results! Which I don't considering cheating by the way... whatever it takes to make the shot great, right? :-)

technodoll: I will definitely have to go back eventually. Right now I can't even consider travel, but that'll change eventually. Thanks for the tip on Corel Paint. I'll look into it - I'm just surprised because I have photoshop and should be able to do all that with that program, but I guess I don't have the necessary filters. Thanks for the tip.
