Why let a bit of snow and ice ruin a good biking season? *grin*
Location: Mont Royal mountain, Montreal QC
From Wikipedia: Snow is a type of precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes that fall from clouds. Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure.
Somehow, you really have to feel it to understand what "snow" is all about. Taste it. Roll in it. Leave your footprints on its white blanket. Have it melt in your hands and freeze your fingers. It is as much a sensory pleasure as it is a visual one.

A picturesque mountain-top scene, better enjoy all these snow snapshots because the minute it starts to melt, I am out there collecting spring views like nobody's business! If you only knew how cold it was on this sunny skating day - my camera froze on half the shots so photography was quite challenging. Hope you enjoy :-)

There is nothing like losing yourself to the simple joys of childhood winters to forget how cold and miserable things can get... wheeee! Hot chocolate after this, anyone?

That's my big happy boy! There is no kinder or sweeter soul than what you see pouring from these eyes - he is a genuine romeo in love with life!

Just another snapshot of a neighborhood sidewalk, drowning in cold winter winds and icy sunlight.

A sunny peek-a-boo from the Brighton pier on a crisp, windy winter day.

As you can see, I love this photo so much that I used it as my blog's title page... Vegas brought me to this cool little bar that used to house a bank once, the inner achitecture is quite interesting but it's the furniture that caught my eye.
We drank tuscan mules and just absorbed the night, pressed together to keep warm from the drizzling rain outside... and just basking in this moment that we stole from time and stamped as ours, forever.

More winter-mode-of-transportation awesomeness just weathering it out...
A crisp winter day as seen through the sun's eyes.

...since you all seemed to love the first one so much, here is another version ;-)
We are surrounded by small original shops that sell local art, it really creates a sense of community and originality that I've seldom seen in a big city before.

I think this used to be a sort of majestic lion guarding the entrance to a building... now reduced to half-rubble that people love to pat gently on the head.
So smooth... I love me them sexay curves.

I find that there is a kind of gentle congruence when arches meet and marry a mass of squares and rectangles...

Funny how some parts of this city are just like a small country town... just bigger and with more people and cars though ;-)
Some Friday giggles were in order! Yes, these are my two clowns playing "bowling" last summer the beach... can't beat that for fun, eh? Back to the neighborhood series tomorrow - it's almost over I think.

I promise you that when summer comes along, these planters will contain beautiful flowers and not... snow. Still makes for a pretty border trimming in the winter, though.

I will only be posting one or two photos per day for the next couple of weeks, and I may skip a day or two so please be patient... will do my best to keep you all entertained though! Back to regular posting soon!
