Which duck photo do you prefer? Both were taken with the same lens, about 30 minutes apart. They are different ducks on opposite sides of the lake, offering different lighting textures for each water scene. I can't choose!

I like the colours in the first photo. I like the blueness of the water.
I chose the second shot, not because I don't like the first one, but because the second one encompasses so many different aspects of a good photo. They are both crystal clear, and the detail is amazing.....but the texture of the water in the second shot is sooooo unbelievably striking......the small waves and ripples really set it off.
I've said too much! haha You asked ;)
Oh, and the composition in the second shot works really well with the subject matter.
I love them both BUT the second one for a couple of reasons seemed to be my favorite :
the duck eyes look richer because of the light on him which I like and the second is the look of the water is more natural you can see the "stuff" going on there. How that for a technical reply ...ha ha !

I like the first one, because of the colors! They are both beautiful shots and there are really aspects in both of them that I like.
such a hard choice... but i think i'd have to go with the first one. I like the texture of the second one, but the first has a more crisp or clean look to it.
I like the first one. The instantaneousness, if that's a word, of the water dropping in front of the ducky wins it for me.
Ha ha! So nobody agrees eh - hrmph. Guess I'll keep them both then :-D
